7 FUN SPOTS IN AFRICA

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
In my opinion the world’s greatest heritage is the wildlife of Africa and Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda falls into this category. It has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world with over 500 different bird species and about 100 mammal species. It is strategically located with a stunning view of Mount Rwenzori.

The greatest feature of the park is located in the Ishasha sector famously known for its tree climbing lions which is a unique attraction and is one of the highlights of visiting this park. Experience the ultimate Ugandan safari with every luxury on hand and a range of 5 star facilities within the park, where no stone is left unturned to bring you the very best.

VICTORIA FALLS
Victoria Falls is one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. If you are planning a trip to Southern Africa, you simply have to witness this mile long curtain of falling water. “Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”, David Livingstone remarked when he first saw them.

It lies between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is part of two national parks. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Zambia and Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe. This incredible amount of water generates a huge amount of spray which shoots 1000 feet into the sky and can be seen 30 miles away, hence the name Mosi-oa-Tunya (smoke that thunders).

GAMBIA
Every year thousands of people visit Gambia. They are drawn to this destination by its beaches, birds, sunshine and the country’s biggest asset ‘its people’. Their hospitality and friendliness have made it “The Smiling Coast”

Gambia has unique qualities over many other destinations in Africa. It is a popular and affordable destination attracting tourists in search of sun, sand and cultural experience of which this unique country has plenty.
You may recall the late great American Historian Alex Haley who discovered his ancestry in the Gambian village of Juffereh. He later wrote a book based on his findings which later became a popular TV series known to millions as ROOTS.

LE MERIDIEN IBOM HOTEL AND GOLF RESORT
Captivating and intriguing are just a few words to describe this piece of haven in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Situated atop rich palm forest vegetation, this magnificent resort connotes peace and serenity complimented with its original atmosphere.
It offers visitors an expanse of adventures and discoveries, warm friendly service you deserve each time you visit and an environment so relaxing it ensures memories that will last a life time.
The lush greens of the world class 18 hole golf course creates the right atmosphere for the most challenging memorable golfing experience.

SEYCHELLES
This Grand Island often referred to as ‘Another World’ can be best described as heaven on earth. The Republic of Seychelles comprises 115 Islands and represents an archipelago of legendary beauty, which sets it apart from other holiday destinations.
The Island extends between 4 and 10 degrees south of the equator and lies between 480km and 1,600km from the east of Africa. Whether you choose a day excursion to one of the many inner granite Islands or an extended stay on one of the exotic Island hideaway, Seychelles has something exceptional to offer and experiencing more than one Island during your visit is a must and will add a new twist to your holiday memories.

OBUDU RESORT
Obudu Mountain Resort is located in Cross River State towards the Nigeria-Cameroon border. It is the pride of the State. It lies on the Obudu Plateau at an altitude of 1,700m above sea level and enjoys a climate and vegetation typical of the temperate regions of the world, with temperatures ranging from 7-15 degrees all year round.
The Obudu Mountain Resort cable car span is currently the longest in the world, point to point. Upon arrival, expect breath taking views of stunning mountain scenery. On some days, the Resort is fully immersed in clouds. The hotel resort facilities are made up of several cosy guest pine lodges; at the base of the hills on which the ranch is located is a water park with swimming facilities and water slides for children, teens and adults. The Resort also boasts ultra-modern conference facilities. Visitors can enjoy fresh meat, yogurt and milk from the integrated dairy farm as well as delicious mountain honey. Other Tourist attractions at the Resort include horse riding, waterfall, nature reserve (canopy walk), honey and yogurt factories, golf course and the ancient Anape village.

MASSAI MARA
The Massai Mara is known as Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve and is situated in Kenya. It is famous for its abundance of Big Cats as well as the Massai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress. It is
without a doubt Africa’s most famous safari destination.

This destination is exceptional especially with the annual migration of Zebras, Gazelles and Wildebeests from the Serengeti every year, a migration so immense that it is called the Great Migration.
The reserve has no fences and as such visitors can actually see as much wildlife. It is not unusual to see safari vehicles full of tourists taking photos of one lion with its kill. The lodges at the Mara are spectacular and you won’t even realise you are in the jungle.
