IS ARIK AIR THE BEST WE HAVE?

It is the holiday season and there is excitement in the air. I make plans to travel with my family and all looks well. The D-day finally is here and we get to the airport eager to do our local tour within Nigeria and boom the first disaponitment starts when the so called number one airline in Nigeria tells us our 11am flight has been rescheduled to 12noon.

While waiting at the airport, another message comes over the public address system that the rescheduled 12noon flight has been rescheduled again for 1pm and then again for 2pm. Finally, we boarded the plane by 2.30pm and arrived in Lagos an hour later.

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE

Being modest and considerable of others play a role in making your trip an enjoyable one. Now that you’ve been able to carefully plan your holiday, don't ruin the mood on-board .

Below are a few etiquette that are considered as being proper while on a trip.

Check before you recline
Of course it is your right to recline your seat but  remember your seat holds someone else's table. Be nice enough to look behind you before you recline. The person behind you may be pregnant or may be using a laptop, therefore, check before recline your seat.

NIGERIAN ROMANTIC HAVENS

Whether it is going on your honeymoon or just simply having a weekend getaway with your lover, you don’t have to break the bank to experience and have an unforgettable time. I always encourage people to travel at least once every three months for the simple reason of relaxation and leisure (not shopping) as most people do. As simple as it may seem getting away for the weekend can recharge your internal batteries.

You don’t have to travel to the Maldives, Dubai or even the Caribbean to recharge your batteries; you can have the same experience here in Nigeria at a lower cost. Here are some romantic havens where you can get the right mix of ambience and serenity to revamp the romance in your life.

ALL HAIL NIGERIA

Nigeria, we hail thee, our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all are proud to serve, our sovereign Motherland.
Our flag shall be a symbol that truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour'd, and this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children, a banner without stain.
O God of all creation, grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation, where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty Nigeria may be blessed.

The period of days for which you can stay varies from country to country and then you would have to obtain a visa. There are also some other countries that you can visit and you’ll receive a visa upon arrival.

Find below a comprehensive list of these countries classified according to their continents

7 FUN SPOTS IN AFRICA

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
In my opinion the world’s greatest heritage is the wildlife of Africa and Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda falls into this category. It has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world with over 500 different bird species and about 100 mammal species. It is strategically located with a stunning view of Mount Rwenzori.
